Situé à South Shrewsbury, Upper Shadymoor se trouve à une heure de route de Birmingham et à une heure et demie de Manchester. Vous séjournerez avec la famille Fox dans cette ferme en activité où la nature elle-même est la véritable star de la ferme. Les bois des campanules et l'ail sauvage s'épanouissent aux côtés des moutons Kerry Hill, des cerfs, des chevaux, des chèvres, des cochons, des poules et des chiens de la ferme.

Explorez les cités médiévales
Si vous souhaitez explorer davantage la région, au-delà de la ferme se trouvent les villes médiévales de Shrewsbury et Ludlow. Shrewbury possède plus de 600 bâtiments classés et est située dans la boucle de la rivière Severn. Ludlow est une capitale gastronomique célèbre pour son château et ses festivals de cuisine et de théâtre ! Pour les amoureux de la nature, il existe de nombreuses promenades dans les collines du Shropshire, notamment à Stiperstones, Long Mynd, Caer Caradoc et Lawley - la plupart avec un pub en chemin ! Pour finir, le chemin de fer de Severn Valley offre 25 kilomètres de voies bordées de magnifiques paysages.
Les activités disponibles à la ferme
Ce qui est unique à Upper Shadymoor, c'est le nombre d'activités que vous pouvez faire sur place : le toilettage des poneys, le safari des cerfs, le spa, le trampoline aquatique, faire du bateau, se baigner dans la rivière. N'oubliez pas de vous arrêter au cellier où vous pourrez commander du pain frais, des produits locaux et des plats faits maison. My sister and I went for a mid week break at Upper Shadymoor farm with our 5 year old sons ahead of school starting and had a truely lovely time. Our hosts Kevan and Joy were great throughout our stay offering the options for fresh croissants and bread for breakfast delivered to your tent, walks around the farm (which was beautiful with so many different parts) and great safety talks making sure the kids were involved and understood. We opted for the water package on our last day which included hot tub and use of the lake which was just fabulous and a truely stunning setting. The kids enjoyed the freedom to explore the camp site and adored the whole experience. Facilities in the tent are great and the boys loved the cupboard bed. An amazing experience and memories to last a lifetime.

We had a fantastic experience with Joy and Kevan. The site is wonderful, with lots of spaces to explore. The experiences available are fantastic - we went on the water with kayaks and paddleboards and it is unforgettable. The game-based BBQ pack was delicious. Thanks so much.

We go to featherdown for the quiet, for getting back to nature and for the wonderful water sports activities at Upper Shadymoor. We are more internet-needy than we thought though! Especially as this week was GCSE results week and I'm a teacher.
We would prefer two bins to be able to separate recycling in the tent, and larger bin bags.

We had a fantastic stay at upper shadymoor farm. We switched off from our usual crazy pace and enjoyed the beauty and rhythms of of nature. Our son loved the animals, the swings and the woods. The water package was great fun, the warm bread and pastries a treat. Big thank you Kevan and Joy for the warm welcome and happy memories.

We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Kevan, Joy and their family were so welcoming and helpful. We had a wonderful long weekend, the children (7 and 4) had the freedom to run around safely, learn about the animals and paddle in the stream. The water package was amazing and all the better for being at a booked time, so that we had special time just with our family. We would highly recommend!

Fantastic, our hosts Kevan and Joy are great, they are so attentive, nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel so welcome and special. The farm is a little slice of heaven, sitting in the hot tub next to the lake amongst the deer was perfect. I can’t recommend this place highly enough and can’t wait to return.

It was an absolute pleasure for my daughter and I to stay at Upper Shadymoore and was the second time since 2017. This is now our 7th visit to Featherdown but we both think this is our favourite place! The site is so tranquil, with beautiful grounds where red deer roam, plus stunning lakes where a lovely wild water experience is available. Kevan, Joy and family are charming and friendly hosts, who went out of their way to make our stay special. Not only can you have fresh, warm croissant / PAC and bread delivered to your tent daily (strongly recommended) but my carelessly left rucksack at the end of the trip (🙄) was couriered back to London the next day! We cant wait to return 😊
